MTR Designs is a ferrofluid art studio creating the most amazing and unique ferrofluid displays. It was founded by Matt Robison in 2015 after he was involved in a plane crash and decided that
life was too short to spend in a cubicle. He decided to follow his dream of inventing amazing products that blend his two passions, science and art.
He launched his first product "Ferroflow" on
Kickstarter in 2015, followed in 2016 by the
"RIZE" which ended up being the most succesful ferrofluid project ever, and also the most successful ever from Auburn, Al with almost $190,000 in total pledges.

We are a small team of designers, artists and engineers based out of Auburn Alabama. We hope that our products will inspire and amaze, and even help to inspire the next generation of thinkers and inventors. We also love working with creative individuals on custom projects, and have created many pieces for museums and special events.
